I went to Bandung for the TB Workshop sponsored by Department of Health
and WHO on the 3 - 5 March 2015. I went there by car. Due to the
traffic jammed, I came a little bit late. It was still okay, they just
finished lunch. So, I ate lunch fast in order to come to the first
session.
Session by session ran smoothly until the end. We all listened to the
doctors and people who were in charge in the Department of Health and
the Hospital, such as Hasan Sadikin Hospital. We tried to be good
students who were listening to the subjects and raised questions. We
also visited to the Hasan Sadikin Hospital in the TB Department and the
Garuda Primary Care to see how they served the patients with different
problems.
There were some patients treated with the DOTS (patients who were just
infected by TB); the TB - MDR patients (people who were resistant with
the drugs); the TB - HIV patients (people who were have TB and at the
same time have HIV). They were all needed to be treated properly with
respects of their diseases.
By the time we finished visiting the Garuda Primary Care, I went home
straight. I couldn't wait to be home, so I didn't go back to the Aston
Tropicana Hotel for closing ceremony. I missed my son so much, because
he was at home alone. Even I called him everyday, as a mom I was
feeling guilty living him alone. I asked my neighbors to watch him from
afar. This was because he didn't want to stay at my sisters' houses to
be safe. I am sure he was learning to be a big boy.
Thanks God, I got home safe and sound. I am really happy to be home. At last, home sweets home for me.
